On Saturday, 23 January 2016, RAWBANK organised an action-filled day at the Shark Club through its HR Department on the theme “The RAWBANK Olympics”.
This magnificent event, where an exchange of good wishes took place, was organised with the aim of strengthening the links between staff, and involved staff and executives from all the branches of the city-province of Kinshasa.
Several activities, especially sporting activities, made up the greater part of this top-quality day, which included the participation of the CEO of RAWBANK, Mr Thierry Taeymans, the Deputy CEO, Mr. Mustafa Rawji and other members of the Executive Committee.
Mr. Taeymans was keen to express his gratitude to all the employees of the bank for the excellent results achieved over the previous years.
Using the occasion to offer his best wishes to all Rawbankers, Rawbank’s CEO expressed his optimism for the coming year: “I want you to be, and I am determined that you will be the best so that the Rawbank network covers the whole of the DRC and Rawbank becomes part of the history of the Congo.”
Pleased to have been able to relax and interact with one another outside working hours, the staff and executives of Rawbank were on top form with regard to the attractive programme that the Marketing Department had laid on for them.
There were lots of sports: relay races, skateboard races, sack races, goal scoring competitions, swimming races and boat races. The Zumba, the rhythmic dance in which all Rawbankers took part, was also part of this long and varied programme of exchanges of good wishes which all those who took part enjoyed.
Rawbank owes the success of this event to its Marketing & Communication Department, headed by Mrs Lydia Mbaka. She and her team were more than capable of rising to the challenge and organised this marathon day with great skill.
For Mrs Mbaka, it was essential for Rawbank to organise this event in honour of its staff and executives: “We work very hard for long hours and we have been given this afternoon to relax and wish each other the best for 2016”.
And to round off the day, prizes were awarded to the winners of the various contests and to those who made an outstanding contribution to the event.
