Overcoming diabetes in the Congo

A word from Professor LUKUSA DIA BONDO, Administrator and Deputy Director of the RAWJI foundation
Overcoming diabetes in the Congo
During their previous trips to the Congo, officials of Angalio discovered that many NGOs and humanitarian organisations lacked the means to report properly on their activities. As a result, some organisations were almost invisible among the rather vague collection of NGOs, of which there are many in the Congo.
Following the success of "Congo na biso" and its initial experience of making a documentary on the activities of the Embassy of the Order of Malta, Angalio returned to the Congo in 2007 with the cONGo project. 10 films, each 12 minutes long, were made about ONGs in the Congo, each of which was sponsored by a local or foreign commercial organisation.
Overcoming Diabetes in the Congo is an association which cares for thousands of diabetics in the Congo. This film, which is sponsored by RAWBANK, will help educate the Congolese people about how to prevent this disease, and at the same time help the association to care for even more diabetics.
